We are very excited to announce that we will be running our own stage at this year’s edition of The Great Escape in Brighton. The festival is ONE WEEK AWAY, running from 14th to 17th May, and on Saturday 17th we will be taking over Revenge (located at the heart of the city) to showcase some of our absolute favourites from this year’s incredibly busy lineup.

Headlining will be Alien Chicks, longtime favourites of ours here at HoH, who will be hot off the back of the release of their sophomore EP ‘Forbidden Fruit’, which releases this Friday on Hideous Records. The trio’s furious sets traverse genres, snapping into rap verse and jazz-influenced licks within the punk vitality of their guitar-bass-drums setup.

Joining them, Velvetine bring their gothic dream rock to the suitably smoky club stage, following the riotous SULK, favourites of those in the know for some time now. RABBITFOOT bring a taste of that flourishing strain of experimental music being forged between the last bus home from the Windmill and the morning commute to music college, while wing! represent that more industrial, 90s-inspired sound being reimagined in a flourishing diversity of interpretations right now, fresh off the release of their debut single on this year’s Slow Dance compilation. Alongside these acts, we are buzzing to welcome Spacestation, a live favourite of ours coming over from Iceland who synthesise noise with pop in the grand tradition that reaches back to the most abrasive moments of the Velvet Underground.

If you can’t make it down to the festival, or just can’t wait for the action to get started, you can also join us this Wednesday (7th May) at our collaboration with TGE for the official pre-party. We’ll be at The Old Blue Last for a night headlined by electro-punks CLT-DRP, with support from ELLiS·D and big long sun. Free RSVPs here.

We’ll be back next week with our master guide to this year’s Great Escape. Full information about the festival can be found at https://www.greatescapefestival.com
