When it comes to carefree and transportive indie music, ‘Campsite’ by Anna Erhard really does tick all of the boxes. Build around a rugged lo-fi feel production which swims with rhythmic guitars and subtle electronic textures, the Berlin artist’s new single is an escapist pop treat evoking memories of the innocence of youth and sun-kissed summer months of good honest fun.
Taken from Erhard’s new album – also titled ‘Campsite’ – the new track feels like a true jam, fused by a love of carefree indie and dreamy pop melodies.
Erhard notes that, “Campsite is a tribute to my family’s favourite campsite where I spent most of my childhood summer days. I just rhymed a lot of words with Campsite and sang them on top of a jam we had already recorded on a previous day and the song was done.”
