PREMIERE | JOHN MYRTLE | WORDS BY KARL JOHNSON

Today we’re premiering the video for John Myrtle’s ‘Foggy’, a nostalgic pop song lost in time and space and soaked in the emotion. ‘Foggy’ immediately hits you in the chest, vocally upfront and personal in it’s lyricism, it floats through 60’s pop touching on the love-struck tales of early The Beatles or The Kinks.

Having spent his time “.. playing in various bands and realising I was developing more and more as a songwriter and less so solely as a bass player”, Myrtle turned his eye to a solo career. His 2019 EP ‘Here’s John Myrtle’ showcasing a special and classic-sounding talent both vocally and lyrically.

Sink into the up close and personal of a songwriter at the beginning of his career yet flexing the songwriting muscle of a man long beyond his age.
