Hard Of Hearing started with handwritten music reviews while obsessively attending gigs after work in East London. Working in the hospitality industry by day, there was always a notepad to scribble on. These physical memoirs, scribbled at or after attending gigs, on lunch breaks or on the tube home, would form the basis of Hard Of Hearing Music as an online platform for new music discovery and unhealthy obsession.

Hard Of Hearing Music has a weekly show on Boogaloo Radio (Tuesdays 6-8pm), which features in-depth interviews with new artists. We also play an assortment of new releases from new artists we love. In the summer of 2019 we played our first festival, with a Hard Of Hearing presents showcase at Standon Calling Festival in Hertfordshire. Back in London we put on our own gigs showcasing new artists at independent venues we love.

With the help of it’s talented and enthusiastic contributors, we are planning the first release of a physical Hard Of Hearing magazine.
