Our new favourite Canadian surf-rock outfit release another stellar single ahead of their upcoming LP ‘Eye Tide’.
NEW MUSIC | WRECKED BEACH | WORDS BY BRAD SKED
Taking their name from ‘Wreck Beach’, lose your mind to the divine sounds of Canadian quintet Wrecked Beach with their latest offering ‘Daydream’ following on from their self-released lo-fi, surf-rock drink-spiller ‘Fade’ that’s reminiscent of Sheffield’s Best Friends (RIP).
The lucid soundscapes from the Vancouver outfit Wrecked Beach’s newest single ‘Daydream’ intertwines between modern-day, sun-kissed psychedelia akin to the likes of Triptides, Dead Ghosts and Morgan Delt whilst also being soaked with the spectres of delightful dream pop that almost evokes the shimmering sounds of Beach House to create a balmy, beach-pop carousel.
A mammoth of nebulous-esque guitars offer a serene radiance before a crescendo of fuzzed-fuelled psychedelia, ‘Daydream’ is a summer-charged chasm that is reminiscent of the days when we could all head to the beach and drink tinnies.
‘Daydream’ is out now on all your favourite digital platforms ahead of the bands debut album ‘Eye Tide’ that drops on on April 24th. Listen below.
