Amyl and The Sniffers – Control (Live at The Croxton).

There’s new music from Australian pub-rock specialists Amyl and The Sniffers. The recording harnesses the quartet’s ferocious and high-octane live show, and it’s out now.

Amyl and The Sniffers release ‘Control’ (Live at The Croxton) ahead of the “Three track live attack from the Sniffers”, Recorded Live at The Croxton, Melbourne Australia”. Out May 1st, via Rough Trade Records.

World, you are welcome.

Amyl and The Sniffers are a band for life. They’re as much theatrics for those with a bottom-belly urge to put on some leather hot pants, a crop-vest and kick down the patriarchy with one Gucci sweating shake ya, as they are collected companionship to the roots of our daily mundane.

This is so glamourous. I know it’s so glamourous because my attention span quite literally cannot handle the sheer level of nerve-riff that’s being spat in my face right now-so I’ve had to put it on loop just to find space to recover.

Like the rooted relief post-trauma of having your hair tied in a ponytail too tight, that is… until fought off with a swift hand-banging session, ‘Control’ (live as well, for fucks sake this is LIVE) could not get anymore eponymously escapist.

This isn’t feral either. It is, but it’s not.

In the same way that carving your crush’s name into your school desk doesn’t bring you luck but it also could, this spinal snarler of super-charge knows exactly what’s up at every given moment and if ever there was a doubt in mind otherwise, leave off it.

Blue lighting just because the mood wasn’t there enough as it is, “I like control, I’m obsessed.”
