The track threads everything that was exciting about noughties indie through the eye of a needle.

Newcomer Jaws The Shark continues it’s ferocious run of single releases in lockdown with heavy-hitting new cut Demon Dream. This latest release has seen them become part of the Nice Swan Recordings series, a collection of early releases by various artists that were seemingly set to make industry waves, even a global pandemic cannot stand in the way of a damn good tune.
Olly Bailey aka Jaws The Shark must be eager to get out playing live, his tunes have lit up lockdown with a perfect balance of raw instrumental grit, titanic riffs and a vocal delivery laden with subtle pop hooks. Threading everything that was exciting about noughties indie through the eye of a needle, while creating your own spin on things, isn’t easy. The track’s vocal delivery is fraught with anxiety and the dark underbelly of the sound often hints at something more sinister lurking in the distance.
There will always be a space for straight up rock music, especially when it’s this cutting and euphoric. Find Jaws The Shark on Spotify here.
