Hackney-based trio deep tan unveil the visual for their haunting debut single ‘Air’.
Hackney-based trio deep tan released their superb debut single ‘Air’ earlier this year, now they’ve unveiled a video for that very track.
Through a collaboration with London audio-visual duo Waterbaby, we’re presented with a flickering insight into the band’s world. Waterbaby explain that “.. the film captures the essence and free-spirited nature of the band and shows their strength, individuality, and beauty prevailing in a world that often feels like a hoax.”
The track itself drifts in and out, haunting at each turn with delicate touches of guitar somewhat reminiscent of Antidotes-era Foals. Backed by pounding drums, ‘Air’ sucks you in with it’s eery soundscape balancing beauty with unease. Vocals bound from French to English with ease increasing the intrigue over the the tracks subject matter. With such a strong debut, 2019 looks sharp for the London band.
