DITZ – ‘Seeking Arrangement’ – A knife-edge, lightning-paced noisy rock return.

Brighton five-piece DITZ return with a snarling slice of alternative rock.

There’s barely time to blink or sip your drink whilst listening to DITZ‘s EP1, released back in 2016. It’s a powerful, lightning paced rock and roll affair, the band create a swirling mass of sound and build unwavering walls of driving alternative rock.

The Brighton quintet return with a new single named Seeking Arrangement, which gets a release on London imprint Permanent Creeps Records. The label itself has garnered a stellar reputation for releases on the gnarlier side of rock music of late (see Human Pet, Haze, Honkies & Peeping Drexels).

Seeking Arrangement is quite the bite-sized return clocking in at just over 90 seconds in length. But what the band pack into that short space of time is impressive. The rolling intro of Seeking Arrangement immediately conjures an atmosphere of impending doom, heavy stabs of guitar and the crash of drums impregnate the tracks eerily calm opening. It soon fires into a driving wall of QOTSA-esque guitar as the vocals bounce between conversational and all out fury.

Masters of creating an atmosphere of pending danger, DITZ‘s ability to marry the harder, darker edges of alternative rock, with both punk and noise rock urges, make the Brighton quintet a force to be reckoned with.
