London four-piece Ghum release the video for ‘TV’, the ghostly, atmospheric-pop centrepiece of their self-titled debut E.P.
Few releases last year stood out as much as Ghum’s self-titled debut EP, the release in question contained the track ‘TV’. Through smokey veils of new wave guitar, haunting vocals and driving rhythms, each track from the ‘Ghum EP’ interlocked into the next creating a body of work recalling that of Siouxsie and the Banshees or earlier Warpaint. It balanced dark with light, sadness with understanding and was topped with enough detail and raw emotion to stand out as one of 2017’s best under the radar EP’s.
We felt obliged at the time to get in touch with Laura, Marina, Jojo and Vicki to delve deeper into the murky musical origins of the band, read it here – ‘5 minutes with… GHUM‘.
