New Music In Video with the disco/ punk of pink kink, the R&B-tinged electronics of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and the delicate yet devastating minimalist sucker punch of PicaPica.
Liverpool’s pink kink have released their first official video in the form of ‘bubblebutt‘, the punk/ disco four-piece balance politically-charged pop with a youthful freedom and menace. They supported Pussy Riot on their UK tour and use their live platform to be an empowering voice for change in the objectification and harassment of women.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra are definitely back, the band have shared a video for their new release ‘Not in Love We’re Just High‘. They’ve announced a new album named ‘Sex & Food‘ due April 6th and a London show at the Roundhouse, Camden for May 24th. The return is an exhibition of R&B-tinged electronic minimalism, as usual it’s excellent.
PicaPica‘s touching harmonies and stripped back sound on ‘Small Time/ Secret‘ are bound to hit where it hurts for fans of love-struck pop and delicate acoustic songwriting. Their video paints a picture of romance found in the everyday, a lonesome pursuit of beauty and solitude shot through a rose-tinted lens.
