Magic Potion – Rest Yr Skull – The Stockholm dreamboats return with a taster from their upcoming album

I’m wandering aimlessly through Stockholm right now with my headphones on, a city split by islands, cobble stone streets, urban badgers, river water so pure it’s apparently drinkable, and of corse with Magic Potion floating through my headset. Well, that’s where the song has taken me.

‘Rest Yr Skull‘, released 07/09 via London/ Stockholm label PNK SLM records, is the first taste of new material since the band released their debut album ‘Pink Gum‘. The release is part of a split single release with fellow Stockholmers, Boys.

‘Rest Yr Skull‘ is cut from the same sonic cloth as their debut LP, it see’s the band expand on their sun-soaked lo-fi pop genius. Earlier on in the summer Magic Potion treated east London to an intimate headline show alongside labelmates ShitKid and since then have returned from a European tour supporting Seattle’s Chastity Belt .
