Tight-knit groove, oscillating guitars in a mist of psychedelia, Max Fulcrum & The Win share opening gambit.

A first glimpse of new material from the Fake Turins vocalist arrives in the form of a live session at North London institute Crouch End Studios.

The track – recorded with producer Rollo Smallcombe at North London’s Crouch End studios – is entitled ‘Deep End’ and revels in the mist of floral electronica and oscillating guitars, moving between progressive drumming and a hip-shifting groove.

Atmospherically it calls upon sorrowful feelings in the verses and lyricism, while moving towards something more hopeful and dance-focused as the band shift gears.

Set to play Falmouth’s Wanderfal Festival, Bristol’s Outer Town Festival and Sounds From the Other City in Salford in April, Max Fulcrum & The Win set out a marker for 2023.
