Seemingly relentless in their quest to bring a new generation of music fans to the dancefloor.

Whether you’re new to the VLURE cause or a fan since their debut ‘Shattered Faith’ dropped from the sky with a ground-melting shudder in early 2021, the Glasgow band always offer an ear-catching listen. Marrying the cutting synth textures and wobbling atmospheres of trance and acid house with the pummelling backend of band-led post-punk sensibilities, the quintet continue to mark new territory with every release.
With tempo at boiling point, VLURE return with new single ‘Cut It’, which forms part of a neon-flecked memory of the highly-charged, nighttime-feel highlights of their debut EP ‘Euphoria’ – released a year ago in January 2022. The band mark their rapturous electronica with stomach-clenching lyricism, offering up a heightened state of feeling and a knife-edged and escapist-post-punk experience.
Perhaps there’s an underlying influence of Scottish acts such as Mogwai or Arab Strap in the dynamic soundscapes, vocal delivery and the emotional honesty, though the rave and techno-scorched immediacy of Faithless or The Prodigy leap out more immediately. VLURE are one of Britain’s hottest tickets for 2023, and oh boy do they show it live.
