Following on from the announcement that their debut album ‘Souvenirs’ will be released on Full Time Hobby Records this coming September, Devon trio Pale Blue Eyes have unveiled new single ‘Star Vehicle’. The track’s buoyant synths shunt and shift seemingly urging the track forward with vocalist Matt Board’s vocal melodies floating sky-high through the mix. Pale Blue Eyes further exercise their ability in creating dreamy, space-age pop that nods to the shapeshifting and transcendent nature of The Cure.

“It’s a hopeful and uplifting track,” notes singer/ guitarist Matt Board. “It’s about daydreaming of the future and riding out difficult times together – kind of fantasising about somewhere far away. It touches on times at art college, where there was a student bar called The Rat & Emu, out in the middle of the countryside. I remember the stars seemed so bright overhead.”

The band’s upcoming debut album will be released on September 2nd and was recorded at their studio on the outskirts of Dartmoor before being mixed and mastered by Dean Honer (Eccentronic Research Council, Moonlandingz). The band tour the UK with Public Service Broadcasting this October.
