On April 29th, Camden’s iconic venue KOKO will open its doors for the first time since a fire swept through its upper floors in January of 2020. Following three years of restoration and redevelopment, it will reopen at the end of this month with a full weekend of programming.
The 122 year old venue has had 70 million pounds worth of redevelopment, turning its historic Victoria theatre into a 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art live music venue and broadcasting house. Headlining the Friday evening of opening, Arcade Fire will play their first London show since 2018 in support of their new record, and sixth studio album, ‘WE’. The release of the new album is preceded by first single ‘The Lightning I, II’.
