When Jack White took to the rooftop of Third Man Records’ newest location to celebrate its opening in September last year, we’d have forgiven him for using this stunt purely for the promotion of his own solo career – let’s thank the (few remaining) music Gods of Soho that he didn’t. Only a few months down the line, Third Man London have announced their first signing, London four-piece Island Of Love.

With the news of their first signing, the label has released a raucous live video of Island Of Love performing from the Third Man London site itself. The four-piece tear through a track that melds heavyness and emotion with more lo-fi appeal and energetic fuzz – and mad guitar solos – than we’ve heard of late in new music – nodding to early Teenage Fanclub and late 80’s Dinosaur Jr. Island Of Love’s EP ‘Songs of Love’ will be released on March 18th via Third Man London with a limited edition 7″ dropping on July 1st.
