By hook or by crook we always knew festivals would return, it was more the question of what they would look like when they did. For Sound City, 2021 sees the multi-venue festival return to it’s roots, bringing together a stacked weekend bill of new music to the beating heart of Liverpool’s city centre. This year’s date has been moved from May to October to allow for the opening up of local venues of all shapes, sizes and legacies to full capacity.
If the city’s deeply ingrained music history doesn’t twist your arm enough, the line up boasts hotly-tipped Merseyside acts Eyesore & The Jinx and The Mysterines as well local heavyweights Red Rum Club and Dublin’s next biggest exports The Murder Capital – and there’s nothing quite like seeing bands on their home turf. The bill also contains Hard Of Hearing favourites JOHN, Nuha Ruby Ra, Youth Sector and many more. Sound City conference will run throughout the weekend hosting panels, workshops and InConversations from a wide range of industry professionals. Find further info/ tickets here.
