The Brecon Beacons festival announces an incredible lineup for this year’s edition.

It has become the norm for festivals today to hand down their lineups in one big flood, rather than the tantalising drip feed many of us had grown accustomed to in years gone by. It is in this novel spirit that Green Man today righteously hijacked our mornings with a frankly monumental lineup drop. The festival has long been a favourite staple of our musical calendar – this year running from 20th to 23rd August – and is unparalleled for atmosphere, the beautiful mountain backdrop framing a magical and fairly intimate festival site.
Leading the 2026 lineup are four acts who cover fairly well all the different things you could want from a festival headline. Mogwai return after headlining back in 2021, their blissful, blitzing sound so evocative in a night under the summer starlight. Slacker indie royalty Wilco headline on the Friday night, contrasting with the floor-filling Four Tet who follows on the Saturday. Then, closing the weekend out, Wolf Alice take on a headline slot befitting their outstanding new album ‘The Clearing’, which last week earned them the BRIT Award for Group of the Year.
The strength in depth across this lineup is clear, typified by the big names just below headline-level, including the mighty Sparks, Cat Power, Aldous Harding, Dry Cleaning and Cate le Bon. Live favourites like Shame, Baxter Dury and Getdown Services are sure to keep the evenings fired up with help from Ana Frango Electrico, Bathing Suits, Ata Kak and Daniel Avery. Elsewhere, The New Eves and Modern Woman are confirmed to return to the festival alongside a number of exciting prospects like Cameron Picton’s new project My New Band Believe, Westside Cowboy, Ulrika Spacek and Dove Ellis. The festival further looks set to deliver on its consistent booking of some of the most exciting newcomers, this year’s bill including some of our newest obsessions like casual smart, Big Long Sun and Another Country $$$$.
The festival has already sold out on reputation alone, but if you’ve missed out, the festival runs an official resale later in the year. For more info on this and the full lineup, check out https://www.greenman.net
