PREMIERE: The Moral Highground – ‘Manta Cyclone’.

Video

London band The Moral Highground bathe in muscular riffs and sharp turns in the  energetic ‘Manta Cyclone’.

Released on limited edition cassette, ‘Philtrum’ and ‘Manta Cyclone’, self-produced by the band, are the first tastes of recorded music from London-based alternative rock outfit The Moral High Ground.

The video premiering above is for the electric ‘Manta Cyclone’ and is the creation of frontman Danny Smartt using his handheld device. The visual flashes back to the sharp and then futuristic psychedelic structures of windows screensavers, providing a mind-bending visual to an earworm from a parallel universe. The video welcomes you into an all-consuming vacuum of fast twists and turns that start in momentary sensory pleasure and end in nothingness.

‘Manta Cyclone’ is a riff-heavy, non-stop journey into the history of alternative rock. The Moral Highground provide an anxiety-provoking, high-octane joyride, sharp turns aplenty and with muscular riffs around every corner.

It’s damn good fun and heavily suitable for those who value the trickier yet more rewarding back catalogues of such bands as Ty Segall, Black Sabbath or King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
