The Larmer Tree Gardens festival is shaping up for an unmissable year this August.

Returning to Larmer Tree Gardens from 28-31st August this year, End of the Road is set for a massive year, having already shared headlines and highlights including Father John Misty, Self Esteem, Sharon Van Etten, Geordie Greep and Goat. Last week, they announced a host of new names added to the bill packed with highlights we will not be missing.
Black Country, New Road will be bringing their new album ‘Forever Howlong’ to the festival, an exciting moment for those who have been waiting to sing along to new studio material since 2022’s ‘Ants from Up There’. Also joining are Man/Woman/Chainsaw, whose sound certainly grew out of the buzz around early BCNR, but which has since blossomed into something sprawling and idiosyncratic in its own right. Further Windmill-scene discoveries on the lineup include the cultishly adored mary in the junkyard and the elusive and uncategorisable hip-hop of Black Fondu.

Katy J Pearson will be a highlight for many, her synthesis of folk and indie rock finding a perfect setting in the late summer sun. Viagra Boys never fail to bring the house down at End of the Road and seem to get better and better with every new release, as shown recently by the brilliant single ‘Man Made of Meat’. Also added are DIIV, one of the defining shoegaze bands of the last two decades, along with the visceral Mandy, Indiana and the incredible Mabe Fratti.
Among End of the Road newcomers on the bill, we are particularly excited to see that RIP Magic will be playing one of their first festival dates after the project launched last summer to an immediately obsessive reception. Getdown Services at last get the call up, having been a favourite on the live circuit in the UK for a few years now. We also can’t wait to see Sabine McCalla, for whom this is a first trip to England over from New Orleans. Her poetic mingling of soul and country first caught our eye on GemsOnVHS and we can’t wait to see a full set from her. On top of these, we will also be making sure to catch C Turtle, Silver Gore, Adult DVD and Westside Cowboy if we possibe can, among a busy lineup of great artists.
