The pysch-punk band’s long awaited second single bottles all the energy of their unmissable live shows.

South London psych-punks Hot Face are back with a thumping new slice of fuzz, ’17 Day Migraine’. Recorded with Moreish Idols’ Tom Wilson Kellet and Alexis Smith of Speedy Wunderground, the label that put out the band’s debut single ‘dura dura’, the track is a punchy three minutes of yelped lyrics over rattling guitars. 60s ‘ooh ooh’ backing vocals complete the picture and further invite the comparison to Osees’ more immediate moments.
The band’s reputation for high energy live shows, complete with theatrical masked performers, makes them an essential to catch at one of their upcoming shows, the current run peaking with a trip to Left of the Dial this month. ’17 Day Migraine’ bottles that energy and plugs you in to the molten swirl of Hot Face.
