Vanity Fairy slows it down and turns up the heat on ‘Jungle Jim.’

With a sultry languidity, the single is a slice of rich cocktail hour delight.

Loved for her disco bangers, unforgettable live shows and outstanding collection of kaftans, Vanity Fairy steps from the dancefloor to the smoking area on new single ‘Jungle Jim.’ Swimming in sultry flange, the track swishes slowly along, allowing us time to drink in the rich details that lie within her music.

The ‘jungle’ of the title sets the mood, languid bass and fragments of vocals suggesting the appealingly slow pace of an imagined tropical life. Though known best for her revitalisation of classic disco sounds, ‘Jungle Jim’ draws as much on the moods of the cocktail-clinking lounge atmosphere of 50s exotica. Though there are no novelty monkey screeches on hand, the hallucinatory humidity of the track is nonetheless invitingly atmospheric.
