A joyous onslaught, its the debut single by Bristol experimentalists EX AGENT.

An unsettling yet hypnotic world of atmospheric-jazz-noise, their first offering ‘Clutch/5’ is built to tie knots in your stomach.

There’s seemingly no remedy to the tumultuous times we live in, but if there was to be a soundtrack to the combination of thoughtful calm and mind-melting chaos, ‘Clutch/5’ may come closest.

Opening with a frantic, choppy instrumental charge, the debut entry from EX AGENT is built to raise your blood pressure. Before we reach the tipping point though, the Bristol ensemble yank the rug from beneath our feet, offering a back-breaking jazz-infused vortex of sound – a gut-feel experience akin to being pulled off a tea cup ride seconds before the operator loses control.

Like all artists with promise, there’s control lurking within the chaos – ‘Clutch/5’ is a journey, an incredible fusion of ideas and musicianship that keeps you guessing at every turn.
